The CKRC BBQ Shack is open (on race days) with great food, drinks and a shady place with tables and chairs. The town of Strathmore is only a few minutes away by car and has a full compliment of restaurants and grocery stores.
Tires: The CKRC is looking for used kart tires to use as barriers. Until further notice, you may leave used kart tires at the facility beside the blue compressor shack.
Oil/Fuel: There is no oil/fuel disposal on site. All racers are responsible for containing and removing all waste oil and fuel. Violators are subject to sanctions.
Garbage: There is no garbage disposal on site. All racers are responsible for collecting and removing all garbage they generate.
Recycling: Containers for refundable bottles and cans are on site. Revenues collected from these go to support and maintain the facility -Thank you!
Electricity is not available in the paddock. Generators are recommended if you need power. If you have a standard (i.e. “noisy”, non-inverter type), please run it only when necessary (eg. to run-up a compressor). If left running continuously, you will be asked to shut it down.
Recreational Vehicles (RV’s)
At present (April 2017) the west paddock area is still being developed / graded /seeded and it is unclear as to how suitable certain areas are for large/heavy vehicles such as RV’s. The ground is VERY soft beneath a few inches of hard crust in many places and even tractors have become stuck. Racers wishing to bring an RV are encouraged to contact the CKRC Manager prior to arrival for the latest conditions and availability, and be prepared to be flexible. There are no hookups.
Washrooms & Showers
We now have proper (flush) toilet facilities with separate Mens and Womens. Water is trucked in and what you flush is trucked out so please use water sparingly ! There are no shower facilities available.
