That is the old spring inside. It doesn't look broken. If a pick won't get it out, there are two options - use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean the carb, and it will likely come out, or just use the new screw with the old spring, and leave the new spring out.

Re: VLR trouble shooting item
How long did it run without sufficient fuel? I would be concerned about the bottom end not having been lubricated enough, and may lead to pre-mature bearing failure.

Re: 2022 VLR Roll Call
Questions about Fred's post:
Why only best 7 out of 11- why not 9?
Will there be a VLR class at Nationals, or will they have to enter a different class for that?

Re: Try A Kart
Thanks for the post Don. It should be mandatory reading. This sums up how I felt for years. Thank You for your years of dedication in helping out. I am certain I would not have lasted as long as I did without you there!

Re: 2022 VLR Roll Call
If we were to seal them, there is no need for it to be a ROK seal. I'm sure there are other products available in smaller batches at a reasonable price.

Re: 2022 VLR Roll Call
I'm not sure I will have time to race this season, but may drop in for one when possible. Alan doesn't have anyone committed to run the full season in VLR, but will likely also have some occasional rentals in either Junior or Senior.

Re: 2022 race directions
1) CCW 2) I will race whatever track layout is in the sup regs. No real preference, but it is much easier without (good or bad?) 3) I personally prefer to drive CW, but the racing is better CCW. CW has too many misleading opportunities, which can lead to big wrecks. I would weight it in favor of CCW...

If this is all club member related topics, to be discussed and voted on by club members, this post should maybe be moved to the clubhouse forum?

Re: Beginner Briggs Qs
The proper stampings doesn't guarantee it's the right carb. Our driver got dq"d with one with the Brigg's logo, as well as the 590890 number, but the bore dimensions have changed internally.
