Re: 2017 Shifter class
This one should probably have its own topic and maybe an email sent to shifter drivers to ensure they all vote?

Re: 2017 Shifter class
Can I propose a few alterations to the weights to get the year going? KZ 2010 and newer 410 ICC/FC 2009 and prior 400 Moto engines 375 We can start there and fine tune as needed. With all of the good discussion that has gone on, we can make tweaks if we think this is too aggressive/or not enough. A...

Re: 2017 Shifter class
Mark, Agreed but that's only good for the short term. At a certain point, people (I'm lookin' at you, Nathan !) get a whiff and BAM...money is spent, perfprmance is increased and the bar is raised. Mark, not sure if you recall the last year of Varsity when we all agreed to go stock moto, and I purc...

Re: 2017 Shifter class
Nice research Joey! I think you are right, switching up the weights will not bring the guy in 15th to the front of the pack. Having said that, maybe we just table this discussion for a while, and come spring 2017 we nominate the best looking shifter driver ( Me or Brian) and we go do a test session ...

Re: 2017 Shifter class
Mark, I think the opposite has happened at our club. The class has grown because it was wide open, this has allowed everyone to run whatever they had kicking around, or to build whatever version of a shifter they want to drive. These gentlemans guidelines have been key, and continuing to promote the...

Re: 2017 Shifter class
Yah, mostly because me and Brian Taylor, the two guys running a modern TM regularily, both weigh in between 400-405. And I don't think either of us are interested in slapping lead on.

Re: 2017 Shifter class
Gents, I am with you on this one. Only thing I would say is that I didn't spend the money on a TM just so I could add lead to my Kart. So I would adjust the weights to Stock Motos: Was 385 -> 375 Older ICC Motors: Was 410 -> 390 Newer KZ motors: 400 If you want to save money on the motor, then take ...
