Re: Warburg Summer Challenge attendance
A little background info... 2016 is the 2nd running of the Summer Challenge - which we hope will become a mainstay annual event in Warburg. It is a "unique" one-off event where we want to offer "something" back to the racers in the form of a prize package - along with a different...

A BIG THANK YOU FROM EVERYONE AT EDKRA!!!
If we haven't said it already, thank you to all of the CKRC racers and families who attended this past weekend's opening rounds of the Alberta Shootout in Warburg! Unfortunately, the weather gods picked the worst weekend possible to play games with us, but we thank you for your understanding and co-...

Re: Rotax Masters invading Warburg for the 2016 Alberta Shoo
And I'm happy to share some advice... For gearing, in Masters most of the faster guys should be about 12/81 or 12/82... it might be beneficial to run an 83 on the back if you can avoid bottoming out... some guys run an 11 tooth front... Tire pressures might be a few psi lower than some have been kno...

That's great, guys...
It'll be awesome if we can get 20+ in Rotax Masters!

Re: How can I insure my karts against fire and theft?
A suggestion, if you're not getting very far with anything... If memory serves, about 15-20 years ago, the Rickman family (Genesis Racing Products - yep, that was a few years ago) worked in the insurance industry and may have offered insurance for karts. You might want to look up Mark Rickman (I thi...

Re: 2016 Shifter Rules/Guidlines
I spent this past weekend at SIMA, and just as a point of reference, I thought I'd share my observations on what I saw from an awesome shifter race... It was a battle at the front between 4 top-notch drivers, all on good equipment, with MG Yellows... 3 running TM K9ES TAG engines (de-tuned from full...

Re: Spec'ing a single tire
Spec tires, where the fastest setup requires buying new tires every weekend is bad because all it takes is for 1 person to start doing that to gain an advantage, then everyone seems to follow suit, and in the end, the race results are the same, but our bank accounts see less cash in them. Is that wh...

Re: Rotax Masters Class Meeting-Thursday Feb 11, 2016
Haha... I should learn to read... I originally thought your first sentence of the original message was about class weight... After a quick survey of the EDKRA Masters guys on facebook, it seems we are all in agreement that we want to be running the same weight in both clubs. If you are staying at 39...

Re: Rotax Masters Class Meeting-Thursday Feb 11, 2016
CKRC is currently at 395 lbs? For what it's worth, EDKRA runs Rotax Masters at the "ASN National" weight of 381 lbs... I have to admit that I question why EDKRA follows a "National" weight when it is no longer offered as a National class. The USA, which has runs Rotax Masters at ...
