Re: Black slides for J2's
I'll throw out some info as an outsider (been out of J2 since 2013). The reality is, there should be a progression from Kid Kart, which we now have, as Formula Kid Kart, running with a novice slide (purple I believe). There should then be a progression, which is J1, and then J2, and finally Sr (unle...

Re: masters set up + tire pressure's questions
Hi Jason, What chassis are you running? When you say the traction just disappears, are you referring to entry grip, exit grip, front, rear? If you want, I can probably spend some time with you after TAK on Saturday, and see what you have, and maybe offer a few suggestions. The one thing I would stre...

Alan found a phone on top of the grandstands on Tuesday night. I believe he left it with Jack

Re: Push Back Bumpers 2019
So, even for T&T this will be required, even though there is absolutely no safety benefit? If it will be required for T&T, it will also be required for TAK, which is mostly older karts. I think the bolt-on style bumper support started closer to 2014, so all the older ones will either need to...

Re: Track Direction
Paul, just for clarity- last year we had 3 CW - your thinking 4 for this year? I think I would agree with that.

Re: Track Direction
Thanks for the reminder, Jack. Alan couldn't complete a race day in the CW direction on a new set of tires. I think the axle change will have helped that some, but it is definitely going to be much more expensive running with more CW races, and I don't know what it would do for the Enduro either. Phil

Re: Track Direction
This is a tough one. We probably see more incidents going CCW, but the severity of the incidents is typically much higher going CW, especially in the 1-2-3 section. I prefer to drive the track CW, but prefer to race it CCW. I'm not sure of CW with the bigger fields we will see for the AB shootout. I...

Re: Essential spare parts?
For the rain cover, I just drill a hole in a plastic container, as mentioned, and make the hole a snug fit, so it is essentially pressed onto the neck of the filter, and no tape is required. I'll try to find mine and get a picture. I may have some spare ones as well.

Re: Essential spare parts?
For chain alignment, a piece of 1/4" key stock works well. I don't think you would need to go as low as a 54 sprocket. 56-59 should work fine. Once you get dialed in, you may need the 16T drive gear, and the 60-62 range, as some of those ratios are between what you get with the 15. Work on cons...
