Who's racing shifter this year?

Post by CBASS »

Wondering who is going to be racing shifter this year. This is a new class for me and I'm really looking forward to getting out there this year. I'm engineering an electric start and am going to be running a paddle shift this year in my mod moto.

What are you going to use for a Paddle shift set up? I have seen a few different systems online and was thinking of going that way myself.

I will be racing a Moto Shifter as well.

I have a mechatron that I am putting on. Ordered it out of Germany. I'll let you know how it works out or I'll see you at the track and you can try it. I'm engineering an electric start right now as well. I was going to build a stock moto but once I started tearing the engine down and rebuilding it I couldn't resist but to start modifying. I'll be putting it on a dyno here in a couple if weeks hopefully.

Cheers,
Rob

2015 is here. Let's hear who is going to be gear jamming this year. I am currently assembling a shifter kart and will be running an ICC powered unit.

Also as the new shifter rep, if anyone has requests for a gentlemans set of rules/regs for this season we should start discussing them. As it will be the first year on the new track and the shifter resurgence is still pretty fresh I don't think anything major should be implemented. But I think a set of guidelines that could guide the growth of the class could be helpful.

Other than ASN safety rules the basic rules could be:

- CIK Medium or harder tires (Vega Blue, MG Yellow, Bridgestone YJB or YKB)
- Racing gas and oil (no funky additives) for healthy competition and our collective health (fumes)
- ?
