Gearing

Post by Mark »

Had the shifter out a few times now and I feel like the gearing is off. Not sure what I have on there now but I will have to clean it up to find out.

What's a good setup for a Moto ?

I believe the ICC/KZ gearing is 17/27, so based on Joey's recommendations for stock moto and ICC/KZ at Warburg, I'd imagine something like 18/28 could work.

Last year I was 1.625 in ccw and 1.611 cw.

It's a good starting point. I had programmable ignition and '01 cylinder so you may have to go a half ratio taller (1.588?) If you run a '99 cyl.

Hmm...I'm 16/26 now (1.625) so maybe I just need more laps to get a better feel for this puppy.....

Thanks !
