2024 Regulation Updates

Post by Jackmazury »

Building on some of our adjustments at the end of last season to weight and discussions around tires, we will be implementing the following regulations for 2024:

1. Tire Limit: 6 Sets per season not including north of 49 - Manually logged as well as tracked using club scanning equipment.
-Note: Maximum one new set per race day, putting a sticker set of tires on after qualifying is a DQ for the event. Mixing of used sets within the 6 allocated is permitted during a race day. MAXIMUM one new set permitted per double header
weekend. This set can be used on either of the two days, new sets are not permitted on both days.

2. Weights
-410 LBS: NEW KZ - TM R1 & R2, IAME Screamer 3 & 4, Modena KK3, or Equivalent Vortex, IAME 175 SSE or SUPER, TM M1 (All increased from 2023)
-405 LBS: TM KZ10C & KZ10B, Modena KK1 and KK2, IAME Screamer 2, Vortex Equivalent (Remains same as 2023)
-395 LBS: Vortex ROK Shifter, IAME Screamer 1, TM KZ10A, Maxter MXS2 (ROK Shifter remains same as 2023, early KZ engines reduced to align with similar power output engines)
-390 LBS: Hobby KZ (Electric Start), TM K9B, Maxter MXO, or equivalent ICC/Formula C, Mod Moto (Reduced from 2023, lowest power output of the European engine options. Mod Moto is any motocross engine with porting work, aftermarket head, etc.)
-370 LBS: Stock Moto

We will continue to utilize the ROK format in 2024 of qualifying, heat race, prefinal, and final. Based on my initial counts we have 40+ shifters in Calgary and Edmonton who could participate in 2024.

Please reach out if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Jack
