2017 season

Post by John Kwong »

Hi All,

2017 is shaping up to be a stellar season of Briggs racing. The CKRC is signed up again with the Briggs Weekly Racing Series http://www.briggsracing.com/weekly-raci ... new-glance . This is a no cost series for Juniors, Seniors and Masters drivers to compete against competitors in Canada and USA for a multitude of prizes. Both EDKRA and CKRC have identical supplementary rules for the popular Briggs classes which makes it easy for more racers to travel to each other's club races and the Alberta Shoot-Out races. The two trade shows we did this year featured a Briggs LO206 kart and we should be seeing a significant influx of new racers to the LO206 class. CKRC continues to have an open tire rule for Briggs Senior class racing but the Vega Blue tire, which will be introduced this year will most likely be the go to tire for all competitors.

If you have any questions, please PM me or respond on this forum.

Sincerely,

John Kwong

Hi John,

Just to clarify, does this mean it's completely wide open, so that we can run Vega Blue, Max One purple, Mojo's, or even MG's?

Hello, being new to the forum, can someone explain the difference between the 340(L) and 375(H) class designation? Is the 375(H) class designed for the bigger driver to have a shot at winning a class? What is the average weight of a briggs 4 stroke kart without a driver?

I would guess the kart would be around 160lbs.

Thanks, okay so I will be in the 375(H) class lol.
Is my understanding of the class designation correct that the 375(H) class is for the not so light gentleman?
