I hate to be "that guy", and personally would love to do one race each way on the same weekend, but our schedule was published a long time ago with the change back to CCW, and we have been reasonably good as a club at not doing last minute changes. I'm not sure we should alter from the schedule at all. Nobody can complain if we stick with what is on the schedule, but if we make a change it opens it up for complaints.

Just exploring some possibilities.. a discussion came up at Warberg a few weeks ago about the safety aspect of corner 13 and losing a lot of the field in a big field of karts.
Counter that with going Clockwise we dont seem to have the same problem .. something I had never noticed until I started studying it these past few weeks (unfortunately I'm guessing this is why ASN sanctioned our track in the CW direction). As you can see some people like it , some cant get to grips with it .. it does shake up the winners circle a bit more for sure.
We do have time to post a change of direction but to run both directions is not really practical.
Let's let it run until Friday.. your only choice is CW or CCW.

Hi,

Since we only have one choice and you are correct regarding turn 13 crashes going CCW, our vote is to go CW Clockwise for both days.

CW

Only the top three made it through the first two corners going CW at the last race weekend in Briggs Heavy. There are concerns going both directions, but usually the damage incurred in turns 1&2 are higher, because it is a higher speed section than the hairpin.

Prefer CCW as I think the passing zones are better that way (13,11,7 all pretty good) vs CW where its really only into 5 & 7 (Turn 1 requires so little braking its almost impossible).

Also the fast line through tic-tac-toe is rib destroying in Rotax or Shifter going CW

Consistency and sticking with what has been published has been CKRC's strong suit, so I vote CCW.

If we can only go in one direction, stick with CCW as published.
There's carnage to be had in either direction...

Reading some of the posts, sticking with the schedule makes sense.

Can we put a notion out there to run more CW races next season though :)

thanks
