Paddock upgrades approved at October Mtg

Post by Tony »

Hello all;

The minutes of the October 10 Special and general meetings will soon be posted on the clubhouse forum (you must be a club member to read the minutes).

But the big news is that the membership approved a Special Motion to:

"To authorize the executive to spend up to $140,000 to stabilize the western paddock area with soil cement as presented at this meeting"

Weather permitting this work is likely to be done in the next few weeks so that we will be able to pit on a new solid base with a surface of packed crush (recycled concrete) on top at the very start of the 2018 season

For those of us who prefer to pit on grass, the established grass pits of the original east track paddock that we used in previous will likely still be available.

That's the big news, track improvements and resurfacing are also in the works ... more info to come on the clubhouse forum.

Cheers ... Tony

After pitting on the mud/dirt in 2017, this is great news! I'll take a hard-packed surface any day.... :)
