The 2nd annual North of 49 Karting Championships was another resounding success with 101 entries with almost all the grids in the double digits. Only a crazy rain storm later on Friday evening affected our schedule with Round 3 of the pea-pick heats delayed until Saturday. Close wheel to wheel action was non-stop all weekend as the reverse grids program kept drivers on their toes and kept the mantra of, “It ain’t over till it’s over” true this weekend. Many drivers raced in new positions and experienced the front of the grid to expand their skills and experience.
Thank you to the members that volunteered to be track workers this weekend, we couldn’t do it without you. I need to do a few specific shout-outs to recognize those that pulled this event together.

The high level of sportsmanship and camaraderie throughout the paddock/facility was great to see and is a credit to the success of our club. The dinner in our beautiful new TAK building by Fork+Farm Catering was outstanding again, as well as the music performances by Dennis Bauer, Dave Lawlor and his daughter, Sam.
