Paddock upgrades approved at October Mtg
Hello all;
The minutes of the October 10 Special and general meetings will soon be posted on the clubhouse forum (you must be a club member to read the minutes).
But the big news is that the membership approved a Special Motion to:
"To authorize the executive to spend up to $140,000 to stabilize ...

Tire Life MaxOne vs Mojo
The question came up again over the Alberta Shoot Out Weekend why we changed from Mojo that lasted a lot longer (maybe all season in 4-stroke) to the MaxOne by Vega.
The decision was made at club meetings in the offseason after much discussion and posting on the website. While testing showed faster ...

2016 ENDURO REGS
Sorry for delay. Enduro rules have been finalized and will be posted probably early next week after double header.
The following was decided Thursday night - then my computer had a near death experience.

EDIT: I had only got to page 2 when I replied to this post - so it is placed a little out of the proper sequence. I had not read Jake's excellent post and offer when I wrote this ...My Bad - Tony End of Edit.

Re: What tire rule for Briggs Senior classes would you like
Would like to see the open tire rule ontinue for at least 2016 while we investigate other potentially better options (better as in more consistent, faster longer lasting, cheaper and quite possibly a combination of those qualities).
The open tire system is working why change it at this late stage ...

Re: Spec'ing a single tire
In Calgary many people are reporting that new tires are around 1 (one) second a lap slower than used tires - and well used tires at that. I have heard numbers closer to 1.5 seconds.
This is infinitely better than new tires being even a few tenths faster than lightly used ones which as Rob rightly ...

Re: Spec'ing a single tire
I am only guessing here but I would think that two to three sessions equate to two to three heat cycles which may well mean an entire race event - they might be ready for the final by that count; at which point a front runner may well be starting from the back of the pack IF the tires are ready by ...

Re: Spec'ing a single tire
I am not suggesting that we switch over to a new tire for 2016.
My point is that we haven't done our homework to spec a tire at all in 2016.
It has been fairly conclusively demonstrated that 7" tires at 55" width is faster than 6" at 50"
