Re: Looking for "Race Career Guide" for Karting at CKRC/in Canada

The comments so far are very true. We have had people start out in shifter, but the percentage that stayed there after starting there is small. If you have already done Try A Kart, I assume the first two sessions behind the lead kart are starting to feel a little restrained. The four stroke kart all...

Re: Throw Aways

I don't see how taking 0 points for four rounds leaves someone who does them all at a disadvantage. We used to have an 8 race championship with two drops, now we have 13 with 4, with the extra two being added due to the Warburg races. We have people who can't make Saturday races, people who can't ma...

Re: Senior Rotax 2021

Alan will likely be doing some Sr Rotax this season. He is trying to lose another 30-40 lbs to get down to weight.

I believe he also has a rental lined up for most of the season, and will have another rental available if anyone wants to give it a try.

We used Jake Designs in the UK for the Try A Kart decals, as well as the ones we got last season.

Re: What tires do you have left ?

Keith- the class rep comment was due to the fact that both you and Dan started polls, with different choices. A class rep would merely keep the discussion focused, and, once a decision has been reached, take it to the executive to be put in the sup regs.

Re: What tires do you have left ?

We now have two different polls on the go, with different tire choices. This underlines the need for class reps. What is the opposition to the Vega Green, which is the cheapest option, and the only one the class has run on so far. It can't get more affordable than what we already have (which is appr...

Re: racing in multiple classes

If you're running two separate karts it's not a big problem. They will let you jump to the front at the scales, weigh your kart, then go join the grid for the next class. Remember that your weight will drop a bit doing the two back to back, so you may find you need to add a bit to the second one. If...

Re: 2021 ckrc shifter school

I'm in! Teach me everything in six hours! If there could be a quick discussion on Mychron data, that would be helpful. I haven't looked at any data from a shifter, but I assume there would be a few key differences (gearing, brake bias, etc)
