Hi Jeff,
Great to see another new racer joining the fun. Let me know if you want help sourcing the accessories that you will need to go racing.
Phil,
Great to see you too coming in for some wheel to wheel action.

Re: Who is racing Senior 4 in 2012?
When does the season kick off?
As soon as the snow is gone and the track is dry enough to practice on. First club race is on April 29. You have been added to the driver's list above.

Re: 4 stroke questions?
Here is a pic of the sealed short block assembly.
Not that you would need one anytime soon.

Re: 4 stroke questions?
Hi David, +1 to what Wilson wrote. As a racer who raced with one of the Princess Auto clone motors for one season a couple years ago, the switch to the Briggs LO206 was a nice step up. There is less vibration and more torque. The motor is practically bulletproof. With the sealed crankcase nullifying...

Re: Meeting on Jan. 22
Clarification as far as I know: 4-cycle senior championship is for LO206 only. Other motors(clone, Honda and other Briggs& Strattion) would be deemed to be in the "Open" catch all class and eligible for the Open Class championship. As well, the 4-cycle motors that end up in this "...

Re: Meeting on Jan. 22
I have been lobbying to have the minimum width of the 4-cycle senior classes increased from 50" (127cm) to 53"(134.62cm). 53" is the same width as a normal plastic rear protection bumper. Brian Campbell hopefully addressed this at the ASN rules meeting he attended a couple months ago....

Re: 4-cycle class for 2012
Now that we are a one engine LO206 points championship, a weight division of light and heavy is probably the next step to determine. All Senior 4 racers would still be on track at the same time with recognition for each division. Over the years the heavy classes have traditionally been about 30 to 4...

Re: Sr. 4-Stroke Class Meeting
Possibility of the Light/Heavy classes. Exact weights for those classes Possibility of a more clear tire rule (maybe even a spec tire) Overall trying to align the rules of our class to that of either WCC of ASN rules to ensure continuity between clubs, events, so on and so forth. 8-) I think most c...

Re: Sr. 4-Stroke Class Meeting
Wilson,
Good to see you step up as class rep.
Now that we have the engine transition year behind us, hopefully the class will continue to grow and we will see regular grids of 15+ karts.
Any thoughts on an agenda for that meeting in early January?
