Re: Ideas for bridging gap between try a kart and race day
Better advertised rent a kart options. I think someone offers these already but I could see some people being willing to pay a decent chunk to mock race or practice without buying their own kart immediately. Better advertised transponder rentals. I didn't even know this was a thing so I doubt most ...

Re: 2023 Race Season Discussion - Tire limit - ROK Format
I'm not part of the class, but will offer some thoughts. The tire rule I believe is a great idea, but at six sets, I would be willing to bet that is more than most, if not all used previously. It should be very manageable. I believe at westerns everyone was limited to one set for the weekend. As for...

Re: VLR Class Rep - 2023
One thought I had on the splitting of the classes, was whichever class pairing - Rotax, Briggs, or VLR has the lowest combined number, could be the group that combines for the day. That would keep the race day flow intact, and encourage all classes to promote growth. At current levels that would sti...

Re: VLR Class Rep - 2023
There is virtually no chance of running Senior, and Masters as separate run groups. The largest field of the season was 17, with 34 allowed on track at once. Any other two that could be combined are considerably higher. If there is to be another run group, I would expect it would be for a junior cla...

Re: 2023 season - tire regulation
It sounds like most, if not all, are in favor of a limit on tire sets, so I think the big question is should it be 4 or 5?
The next question would be who would like to be class rep? I was thinking maybe Pat Boschman?

I would also suggest that if a change is being made, to see what it would take to add more places to the board.

Re: Senior Enduro roll call
It sounds like I will be on a team with a VLR. Hopefully at least marginally faster than the Briggs.

Re: Kart storage
It shouldn't be a problem at all. As Fred stated, many engines don't get the luxury of a warm winter. Make sure to drain the carb, and you should be fine.

Re: LF: storage at the track + safety gear
Welcome! The club should have space available for rent next year. I believe it is parking@ckrc.com if I remember right. I may have some driving shoes. I will look to see what sizes we have. For the rib vest, you are likely better to wait, as there is a new regulation being mandated for next season, ...

Re: And that’s a wrap!
Well said Ken! This class has shown some great growth this season, both in terms of numbers, and ability. I believe there's a good chance of maintaining 15 plus entries for next year also. I think there may be a few that move up to senior, or switch focus to two stroke, but this will be a very compe...
