Re: VLR tires 2024

If there's no rule stating it has to be the same four used as a set, there is no reason a maximum of four shouldn't be doable for anyone. Any less than that, you run a bit of a risk to the people that are only doing a few races having a pretty significant tire advantage.

2024 CLASS REP

I don't recall if there was an official class rep this year, or not, but it would be good to have someone in place for next season. I believe there will be a bunch of Juniors moving to senior, and a bunch of younger drivers moving up. If anyone would like to be the rep for this class, now would be a...

Re: Do young karters make better drivers?

The things you will notice that are bad on the street are:

Following too closely
Leaving the braking very late
Accelerating aggressively from stop
Lack of attention to rear view mirror

Re: Amputee friendly?

Hi Bryan Jason has covered most of the concerns, and I would agree, if it is difficult for him, we can issue a refund, or give a session to someone else. I do hope to get at least one kart rigged up with hand controls in the future to be able to accommodate more people. I would also like to apologiz...

To add to Don's thought- it would also be good to mark it as medical.

Re: 2023 Club Supp. Regs

The non club members being eligible for the club championship points was listed specifically as EDKRA members being eligible in the 2018-2022 supp regs, on the agreement that they would do the same, which may have happened in 2018, but was definitely not that way last year, or this year, so I think ...

Re: 2023 Club Supp. Regs

I don't see a problem with the 107% rule in any way at all. I do agree with Tay, that perhaps a credit could be issued for a first offence- get better, and come try again. The reason for the 107 is that it takes a lot more awareness to drive in a race situation - especially being lapped, possibly by...

June 17/18 Try A Kart openings

There are currently 19 spaces left available on June 17th, and 47 available on June 18th.
Lets try to get the word out that Try A Kart has space available for anyone wanting to give it a try (kid kart is sold out both days, but all other groups have openings)

Re: 2023 season - tire regulation

It sounds like it will be a five set limit. There hasn't been anyone step up for the class rep role yet, and it would be good to have one.
