Re: New forum member with question

First off welcome to the forums. I’ll add to what Steve said. Briggs and Stratton is often the best starting place for new racers. It is the easiest type of kart to learn to drive and requires the least maintainence and is the least expensive. Engines are factory sealed and do not allow for modifica...

Re: New Podium for 2019 - Masters Plus @ 400lb?

I think this could definitely work at the larger races which see 40-50+ briggs entries, however if we are talking about implementing this at our club I’m not sure it makes sense as some races this year we had light and heavy mixed due to low entry numbers. Maybe another option is setting the heavy c...

Re: looking for imput on gearing

Not sure if it requires modification or not but I believe the gear you are looking for is off of a reed and rotary motor (Formula A, ICA, Formula super A). These motors haven’t been run anywhere for a while and parts are scarce so you are unlikely to find one second hand. I would give joey at Overdr...

Re: Shifters Race 13

I’ll run as light as possible. Since I come in at 165lbs on the scale I’ll see if I can borrow a non insulated suit and such to bring the weight down a bit. Won’t quite be 365 but I think I can get down to 370 or 375

Re: 2017 Shifter class

I can’t make the 365 but I think that that should be the weight and would encourage some participation. this Sunday will hopefully be my last race on the Honda. I don’t see any issue with the Honda’s being allowed to run at 365, all it will do is level the field a bit more. The moto needs all the he...
