Re: 2023 Club Supp. Regs

I want to add my two cents in this conversation. When we started in 2018, Carter had only experienced quad and dirt bike riding as a past time. He seemed to take very quickly to running laps safely and eventually over time, knocking his lap times down. Even though we could have probably entered him ...

Re: Ideas for bridging gap between try a kart and race day

After reading your comments Jack, I can understand the reluctance by some having issues with the equipment purchases. But you earlier stated that the cost isn't usually a deciding factor whether to get into racing but if they are complaining about buying what is required, then I do see it as a cost ...

Re: VLR Class Rep - 2023

As we keep growing I can see we may need to have all our race weekends being a double header and not all classes running both of the days just to be able to fit everyone in. It's not a big difference than the odd weekend when we would only run one race day other than the fact that there will be more...

Re: Leader-board

Thanks for all the interest, if anything comes out of this conversation, we may have a better way of electronically tracking the races on our phones. As far as making it a part of the medic structure, I think it may create more of a sail up there on the berm. Besides the medic shack is only going to...

Re: Leader-board

I agree John that everyone has a phone to access to apps that update who is beating who. But sitting in the stands, it was surprising how many were actually looking at the board during the race rather than their phones. Sometimes the glare of the sun makes it hard to see the phone screen, sometimes ...

Re: Leader-board

Well that is good about the available conduit in those two area's.

And yes, there will have to be some thought given to the wind loads on the structure. By looking at a old photo, i'd say the board is just over 2-1/2' wide by about 11-12' tall?

Re: Leader-board

Thanks for your response Jack! Always good to hear from others. There is no doubt that we would have to place tire barriers around it as I too have seen karts end up in this area. The good thing about this hazard, is it would be so far from the track compared to other possible contact hazards that a...

Leader-board

I would like to start a chat on what it would take to move the leader-board off the tower and have it placed out in the in-field? I know there is some trenching involved in order feed the cables to it, but is it an almost impossible task? The big area in front of the timing tower would allow virtual...

Re: VLR premix oil

Hello there. This would be my thoughts on this issue even though I am running Briggs and Carter is running shifter. I am a carpenter, and when I am building a house for someone, or extensive renovation, I always tell them that there are area's in the build that you can skimp on and there are area's ...
