The older carburetor will say Walboro on the face of the body, the new one has a Briggs and Stratton emblem on it.

Yes, very simple to change a briggs engine from SR to JR. All you need is a different carburetor slide and a cap lock.

Here are my initial thoughts, The CCW direction is easier for rookies and has less potential for a large racing incident if you put a nose where it shouldn’t be.
