Re: 2023 season - tire regulation
I definitely agree there should be a maximum. I also think five sets should be quite manageable. It's not quite two/ weekend if you do all 11, so a choice would have to be made to possibly conserve at some point, but I'm quite sure the tires will do three races in the CCW direction quite easily. I g...

Old Style front bumpers
If anyone has any of the older, non pushback front bumpers they don't need, Try A Kart could use a few replacements/ spares

Re: VLR premix oil
If it is open (which I'm sure it is), they should be able to verify by mixing a sample with their test fuel, and your oil. There's also people using castor oil, which is not allowed in the Rok USA rules, but I believe is allowed here. It would probably be good to at least narrow it down to a couple ...

Re: LO206 Briggs for junior
The brutal reality is they have DQ carbs that were stamped Briggs, with the appropriate part number marked on the carb body, but the internal measurement failed. Re: LO206 Briggs for junior
There has been some rule changes in the last couple years that could require additional parts. The carbs have changed, and they have been DQing the older ones, so be aware of that if it has an older engine.

Re: Lost & Found
Alan has lost a Mychron 5s, which was left on charge in the blue compressor building on Thursday night, June 2nd. Sometime between then and Monday morning, June 6th, it went missing. If you have seen it, please call, or text Alan at 403-652-8935.
Thanks

Re: Idle Speed Screw Problem
That is the old spring inside. It doesn't look broken. If a pick won't get it out, there are two options - use an ultrasonic cleaner to clean the carb, and it will likely come out, or just use the new screw with the old spring, and leave the new spring out.

Re: VLR trouble shooting item
How long did it run without sufficient fuel? I would be concerned about the bottom end not having been lubricated enough, and may lead to pre-mature bearing failure.
