Post by Kmak »

Hey was looking into picking up a Kart for masters class - came across this unit.. though I know little to no knowledge... are seats oem for each kart, along with gas tanks? And what brand has a large bold K as it's logo..

Thoughts..?

Hi Kyle,

Great decision to join the Briggs Masters brigade!

Seats can be switched between all chassis; it's most important to find one that fits your physique and to have it properly fitted to the kart.
There should be a metal plate on the rear cross member which should identify the manufacturer and when the kart was made.
If you could get a picture of that, it would probably tell us a lot more.
The karts that come to mind that have a K in their name are Kosmic or Formula K, but someone else might be able to provide further info.
Looking at the bodywork, the kart looks like it is probably a decade old, but looks can be deceiving.
Ensure that the engine has the orange seals, as the grey ones can no longer be raced and are purely practice engines now.

Hope that provides a start on your quest.
