If we haven't said it already, thank you to all of the CKRC racers and families who attended this past weekend's opening rounds of the Alberta Shootout in Warburg!
Unfortunately, the weather gods picked the worst weekend possible to play games with us, but we thank you for your understanding and co-operation in difficult circumstances. Hopefully, you were still able to enjoy your time, despite the weather.
With the benefit of hindsight, we might have changed 1 or 2 decisions we were forced to make on the fly, but overall, Sunday's double-race went off pretty well, all things considered.
With your help and participation (thanks also to the crew from Regina who showed up to race), we survived the biggest race that Western Canada has seen in a long time with 120 total entries, not counting a few that showed up to race Saturday, but couldn't make it back on Sunday!
We'll be sure to return the favor in September, and we'll do what we can to top the 120 entries for the race in Strathmore!
