Heads Up
With the advent of a full time Tech guy for 2018 one thing that you may consider to be minor will become a full time Tech Item...
Kart Numbers !!
Members are to go to MSR and register their required number (If you held the number last year you automatically are considered the owner of that number this year.
What ever number you have must stay with you throughout the season ... If you buy a Kart with a different number you must change it to your number.
Only real numbers (2) will be accepted as passing tech (No US Numbering allowed (Letters) No tape no sharpie numbers allowed)
Ideally they should follow ASN in Measurements and colours (Yellow background black numbers) although the club regulations allow for different colour combinations if it can not be read easily from the tower it will be deemed to fail Tech. Colour's should contrast to be visible.
Front .. Rear ... and both sides must have a legible number .... You may be refused entry to the Pre Grid if it is deemed that they can not be read.
PENALTY FOR FAILING NUMBER TECH ..... Last Place points START FROM THE REAR OF THE GRID.
TRANSPONDERS
It is the responsibility of the competitor to ensure he has a Transponder fitted and the number is logged with Timing...
If you change Transponders it is your responsibility to inform timing
FOR 2018 ONWARDS
Timing will not chase up any Transponders that show up without a name or kart number
All transponders must be fitted for Practice onwards On the seat as stated by ASN Tech regulations (Transponders are not to be carried in pockets or on a person)
In the Scale House there will be a TV Monitor that will show that session when you come across the scale.. If you do not see yourself in the listings you are to assume your transponder did not pick up and it is your responsibility to follow up with timing. (Timing will NOT follow up with you)
These regulations will be written into our Sup regs and enforced ... it will make for a smoother less stressed race meeting for the officials (and for you too)
YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED.... MAKE SURE YOU DO THE NUMBER UPDATES AND ALWAYS REGISTER AND FIT YOUR TRANSPONDER ...OVERDRIVE MS WILL HAVE PLENTY OF BACKINGS AND NUMBERS AVAILABLE TO REPLACE ANY THAT "MAY GET RUBBED OFF BY A PASSING GOPHER"
