Volunteer call out ..
It is anticipated that we will be ready to install the new fencing at the new circuit next weekend. We will be using 12 foot wooden posts and 8ft game fencing. We will require a team to go around to
a. Auger the holes for the posts every 12 ft.
b. Insert poles
c. Backfill holes
d. Erect and staple fence to poles.
This is going to be an enormous task that will take many people to achieve it so if you can volunteer as part of the required crews please contact me ASAP

This would be sat/ sun, or Friday night as well? How many augers do we have? Are we cementing posts, or just backfill & tamp? What will be needed for volunteers to bring? As far as I know we should be available.

Fencing party...

Due to the nature of the last users of this site (grazing cattle) I would strongly advise the wearing of boots or substantial footwear. Gloves will be a must also ..... maybe pack some sanitizer too.
Please bring your own water and food and sunscreen as its going to be hot. There are not that many Bugs out there but maybe bring some off as well. If like me you are fatally allergic to bees bring your epipen as there are a large number of honey hives across from us.
if possible if you have a camping water barrel please bring one full of water for the concrete.

Major Update..

Along with the fencing party Whissell Engineering will be on site to scrape out the race track. There obviously will be major heavy equipment on site so everyone will need to have a Safety Briefing upon entry. Small children are not encouraged on site and all children that are there will have to be under control of an adult at all times. Hi viz vests must also be worn at all times by all. There will be some vests available on site but if you have your own please bring it. North star contracting have been out today and have staked out the track ...... it looks impresive.

Remember bring any and all tools with you that you think will be useful ... bring food and water ..bug spray etc and plenty of energy. Tasks will be assigned when you arrive ...

Fred, will there be any need for things like weed-whackers?

Hi Steve,

The club has a couple gas weed wackers but there isn't a need for them yet. I think only one of them is functional right now. Once we have tire walls set-up the weed wackers will be more in demand.

A massive amount of work was achieved today by everyone who turned up. Three sides of the property have the poles in and every fifth one concerted. It is possible that we may get some fence up tomorrow if we can get the manpower. The basic track has now been scrapped out and is walkable .... its going to be awesome. Come and help us out tomorrow and even walk the track ... we will be there at 9am all are welcome.

WOW !
The new track is already starting to look great! The flow and speed of the circuit looks great!
And the elevation change    Awesome!

For those who have not volunteered at the new circuit yet, you need to come out and spend some time.
The pictures do not do this facility justice.
Once you see the terrain in person, you will appreciate what a great track we will soon have.
