Yup, I think the race has to go more back to its roots of simplicity which will hopefully bring more entries.

Maybe I am among the minority, but I like having the minimum weight. It was only for the driver running the last leg to make weight, so it still allows for insanely light entries, far below normal race weight, but at least gives the heavier guys (like me ) a slight chance of being competitive. There is easily at least an 80lb discrepancy between drivers. The heavier ones can't change much (I'll start my diet tomorrow, or the day after), so middle ground is nice. The weight is already on the karts that need it, so it's actually more work to take it off.

Fair enough.

The word from the top is that the entry fee will be reduced significantly this year but there will be a minimum number of entries needed for the event to go ahead. Watch MSR for the event details.

As of Sept. 17 -> Note: This was preliminary and has now changed.

This sounds like a lot of fun but unfortunately, the border closure was extended again to at least 10/21 and even if it hadn't been, the quarantine in Canada would make it impossible to attend. I really wish I could have made it up there for this race and I met at least one other Montana karter who would have made the trip for this race. You are all very lucky to have such a great facility and the opportunity to take advantage of it. For me, I am hopeful that next year will work out better :D

Let's get those enduro entries in sooner than later. This event is always a fun time. Pull out those old karts and see what they can still do.

I think this was the best attended endurance race in recent memory. There were 23 karts entered with over 70 drivers. Results were fairly close too. We saw a number of interesting motor combinations with some modifications to the stock LO206 platform. The good weather certainly helped and we ran the enduro in the clockwise direction for the first time at SMP. Fred Causer turned his first laps in a CKRC endurance race too. So what did you like and what would you want to change to keep the interest in this event in the future?
