Levanto tire batch update - this weekend

Post by Joey Guyon »

Hi Everybody,

We wanted to pass along some important information to keep racers competitive.

The latest Levanto batch to hit Canada was first used in Calgary 2 weeks ago in the shifter class and also at the Canadian Nationals in all 2 cycle classes.

It proved to be faster than the 2 previous batches of tires by about 0.5 seconds.

We have a good supply and want racers to be informed of this upgrade with 3 races left.

The previous 2 batches have serial numbers beginning with:
008...
100...

The latest batch is
700...

If you have any questions please come see Joey at the track.

To add further clarity, the barcode will have the following first 3 characters.

Old batches (slower):
L08
L01

New batch begins in L7XX

If you still have tires from midway through last year that are beginning in L07, these are equivalent or better than L7 barcodes.

Having tested all batches I second joeys opinion that the newest serials are faster by about 0.5 seconds per lap.
