Hey all, hope the weekend went well for everyone.
Yesterday you would have seen my wife Melinda and I in tech, and I was there for the last round too.
Our son Connor (CRG63) is brand new, running in the purple slide race yesterday after doing bambino and Kid Kart the last couple seasons.
Bryan asked if I/we could help with tech next year and we’re up for the challenge. Just wanted to quickly introduce ourselves.
About me: been wrenching my whole life and in a previous career I was a motorcycle mechanic. I worked for Ducati and Bridgestone, and was also a Dynojet and Power Commander technician.
About Melinda: she’s an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer who dabbled as a pilot. Shes flown and wrenched in everything from Learjets to a 1929 Ford Trimotor to the Harvard, to a Sukhoi stunt plane.
Karting is new to us so please be patient with us as we learn! Also, feel free to offer advice, tips, etc. We’re pretty laid back and just want to make sure everyone is safe and compliant. Obviously we had the opportunity to learn from Dan Pellizari (who’s forgotten more about karting than we’ll ever learn) and we hope to bring a fraction of his passion and knowledge to CKRC. That is also part of why tech was so extensive this weekend, so that he could share his knowledge with us.
See ya soon!
Josh, Melinda, and Connor.

Welcome to the club - and thanks for the support at Tech. We've got a few past, present, and future mechanics and pilots in the club, so it sounds like you'll fit in well.
How many of you are planning on karting?

For now, just little man. I’ve been banned from trying because I know exactly how that would end and I already have an engine propelled expensive hobby to get through!

Hello,
Another welcome from me too. Wonderful to hear another family totally involved in karting and joining our friendly community. Your step into the tech portion of our club is much appreciated, as fair competition is a building block of a growing club. I look forward to meeting you.
