Yes I do still own my DD2 and I will be having the evo upgrade kit added to it (it is an added expense but I do feel it is the right thing to do at this time for the Kart). But I am not sure how many races I will be able to do this season. I do not have job security and with this very uncertain economy we now find ourselves in where more jobs are poised to be let go in the not too distant future, I need to control my spending and make sure I have $$$ saved for when the inevitable rainy day arrives. I do hope to make it out for some races, likely as a single day member. Heck I picked up a transponder earlier in the year, no need to rent John's spare anymore. But hopefully you guys understand why the rainy day fund is a higher priority.

I definitely won't be able to race on the 31st. But I should get in touch with Fred when he gets back from his vacation as I should be able to volunteer to be a track marshal, or some sort of go'for, or perhaps Fred personal slave as I hold an umbrella over his head during the races. And yes then all the people who are actually racing can make fun of me for not being able to race. I don't care ... haha

I just drove the new track with my shifter today. Even with the low grip conditions, the track was of course really fun to drive. I have seen a number of DD2, Moto and ICC type shifter karts out so far. Prospects for this year are looking good.
