For all those that did not get the mass e mail:

The circuit will be closed this week between the Hours of 5pm - 6am from today until the 15th September due to the closure of 114 th Ave and 68 st for paving upto the new Stoney Trail East. This was a closure brought about by the Provincial and Federal Government department heading up the project .... they neglected to inform us !!

This means NO TEST AND TUNE THIS WEEK Access to the circuit during the day will be through the Shepard main building complex via the detour signs.

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO USE THE CIRCUIT THIS WEEK DURING THE DAY ..... YOU MUST BE OUT BY 5PM NO IFS NO BUTS OR YOU WILL BE LOCKED IN.

ABRS schools will be using the circuit during the day on Thursday and Friday as planned.

Members taking part in the Cardel show can access their trailers from 6am but must be able to get back drop and exit by 5pm if they plan to return their trailers. AMRA have the circuit booked Sunday so you could return trailers then if you need to and Waste Recycling will be open

As I thought it looks like there is going to be an over run of the job !!!! well of course there was beings its the City , Province and Federal Government project ... it could be a couple of more weeks yet !! I am furiously working with Roads and Waste Recycling to come up with a solution but as of now nothing firm for the future. Keep your eye on this post for updates.

Just saw this on the City of Calgary website. Hopefully they are being a bit pessimistic!

UPDATE: 68 Street S.E. south of 114 Avenue S.E. will be closed from Monday September 9 at 7 a.m. to Tuesday, September 17, at 6 p.m. for construction. Motorists can access the Shepard Landfill via 64 Street S.E. Watch for traffic pattern change on Tuesday, September 17 due to a new road reopening. Southbound 68 Street will be closed at 114 Avenue S.E., motorists can access the Shepard Landfill via 64 Street S.E. 114 Avenue S.E. between 68 Street S.E. and Stoney Trail will have the speed reduced to 50 km/h due to construction activities adjacent to the roadway. This work is being completed for Stoney Trail tie-in work.

Spoke to the people concerned and heee is the scoop.
If you are going to the circuit before 5pm you will have to go through the City vehicle storage diversion back onto 68th St then into our road.
If you are arriving after this time there will be a exit only policy from the land fill down 68th street back to 114th ave but there should be enough room to operate a two way wgich is OK by the roads project manager. If stopped explaine it has been authorised for Kart Club members only .... any problems give me a call 403 305 9170
