No idea where to buy helmet/gloves/race suit for a reasonable price

Post by Kaida »

Howdy! (Hoping) to start Karting this year and am entering with a very strict budget. I'm trying to look around online on where/how to get a affordable helmet, race suit that fits, and where tf I can buy some gloves. I don't know if I'm just putting in the wrong search terms and I can't find anything. Any help would be awesome, thanks in advance!

Hi,

A smell m2020 rated motorycle helmet is going to be your cheapest option. HJC seems to be the budget standard on that item. Zamp is a reasonably priced karting specific brand.

Suits search for sparco karting suits, they seem to be the cheapest, or check if overdrive has any clearance or budget ones in stock. Used is also a viable option here, I’m sure people have suits they want to offload. Gloves are a similar story.

Have a look in the “Classifieds” section of the forum. You can also try posting an “equipment wanted” ad in the forum, specifically mentioning what you’re looking for (sizes, etc.)
There is a fairly regular turnover of stuff from members, and anything you can find used will be a significantly better price than buying new.
