Hi All,
My MyChron 5 has been having an issue where the screen goes scrambly or upside down or just blanks out within 2 laps of being on track. It still captured the data from the session but the screen was useless while driving. I sent my MyChron in for service last year but it didn't help. I researched this and found a fix on KartPulse.com. Apparently the signal from the coil is too strong through the rpm detection wire. In order to get around this the fix is to cut the wire and then overlap about a 2cm section of the cut wire and tape them together. I did this for the race this past weekend and all the issues went away and the gauge has been working as normal.
