SR Max meeting moved to February 28 at Cardel!

Hi All,
Hopefully the bad weather will be behind us and we can have racing on the brain once again! We will have a semi-formal class meeting for the Rotax racers on Saturday March 12th at 12 noon to vote on some minor tasks:
1. The creation of a “Masters” category. My proposal is to run this class within the SR Max grid, unless total numbers merit a separate grid. Points will be scored separate and trophies awarded. Starting position on the grid would be by laptime within the SR Max class, for pea pick the classes would be mixed. The criteria will be: Age 32 and up at the time of the race day OR 195lbs bodyweight and up at the scales with racing gear on. Class weight would be 395 instead of the 364 for the “SR/international” weight. Tire regs would follow Rotax rules, but all OEM styles of airboxes and clutches would be allowed. Carb jet combinations would follow maxchallenge guidelines.
2. Creation of Spec rain tire rule: Mojo W2 only, must be run in correct rotation.
3. Spec oil: Motul or XPS (new rotax oil!)
4. Adoption of “new style” airbox only for Sr/international Max
5. We are looking for a sponsor for Masters trophies for each race day and for year end (roughly $750 for daily + year end)
6. If the Sr and Masters classes are split, can a competitor enter both classes?
If there are any other topics to be covered please contact me prior to the meeting.
