2018 EDKRA Summer Challenge at the Rotax Mojo International Raceway
On behalf of the EDKRA we are pleased to announce that the 2018 version of the highest attended Kart Race in Western Canada will take place July 20 – 22, 2018.
The 2017 Challenge saw racers from 6 Provinces and 2 States participate. The upcoming event looks to repeat with entries of 150+ racers in Briggs, Rotax and Shifter karts.
Last year the prize money and awards paid out more than $37,000.00. 2018 sponsorship and participation are likely to exceed 2017. With the newly formed partnership between BRP Rotax and the EDKRA we are excited to announce that Rotax has confirmed all 1st and 2nd place finishers in Rotax classes will receive full Rotax clothing packages in addition to the prize monies posted.
The challenge will be as per ASN Canada sporting regulations and EDKRA 2018 Supplementary regulations.
Event coordinator Kevin Dowler has been working with last year’s partners to provide prizes and sponsorships. CRG West team principle Justin Bayliff has confirmed prizes for classes from Ital Sport in Australia and Overdrive Motorsports has once again confirmed their participation.
Each year has gained in popularity and with the new partnership with Rotax and Mojo, we expect to exceed the previous year’s world class event. The 2017 classes were so popular that a last chance qualifier was needed to set the starting field for the Senior Briggs class.
